Pregnancy and childbirth are a lot of work.
After giving birth, the main focus will be on caring for the baby, but caring for the mother's physical and mental health is also essential.
Why not learn about postpartum self-care using the traditional French natural therapy of phytotherapy while enjoying the scent of essential oils and actually handling herbs ?
At our Kobe main store, we are hosting a "Self-Care Seminar" in conjunction with the Pre-Mama Festival, inviting herbal therapist Mariko Okazaki.
This time, we will introduce the contents of the seminar!
Herbs and fragrances you should know before giving birth to help mothers heal their minds and bodies after giving birth
What knowledge can you learn?
Seminar Contents
This seminar will help you prepare your body and mind for the postpartum period and enjoy a comfortable life as a mother.
After giving birth, you start caring for your baby even before you've recovered from fatigue and injuries, and your hormone balance changes dramatically. This can lead to a weakened immune system, autonomic nervous system disorders, and other physical and mental disorders.
At this time of year, when it's hard to find time to go to the doctor and people are hesitant to take medicine, we will introduce phytotherapy, a traditional French natural therapy, as an ideal self-care method to support the mind and body after giving birth.
While holding essential oils and herbs, we will introduce you to various self-care methods for preventing infection, postpartum depression, stress, hair and uterus support, breastfeeding and breast problems, how to care for the vaginal area, and sexuality.
Includes a short workshop on making herbal bath salts that will warm and soothe your body and mind.
Couples, current mothers, and future mothers-to-be are all welcome.
Workshop (Making bath salts)
At the seminar, you can also enjoy a simple workshop where you can make herbal bath salts!
You can choose from rose and lavender herbs, and you can enjoy the scent not only in the bath but also by placing it in your closet.
You can take them home as souvenirs, so be sure to choose your favorite herbs.
*Please note that the contents of souvenirs and workshops may be subject to change.
Participant comments
■ "I've recently become interested in herbs, so I really enjoyed the class. I was also happy to receive a souvenir." (Mother of a 5-month-old child)
■ "The explanations were easy to understand, and I want to use them in my daily life." (Mother of a 1-year-3-month-old child)
■ "It was a good opportunity to learn about postpartum care. I'd like to start with things that I can easily incorporate (such as herbal tea)." (A expectant mother who attended as a couple)
■ "I was interested in aromatherapy and herbal remedies, so it was great to learn more about how to use them. After giving birth and while raising a child, I think it's easy to get irritated and worry about changes in your physical condition, so it was a great opportunity to learn about self-care methods. I'll try to put them into practice." (Pregnant mother)
■ "This was my first time attending a seminar like this, so it was a good experience. I thought it was very meaningful to attend the seminar with my partner before giving birth." (Male)
