The "familiar Room" will open on Sunday, December 1st in a room within the Sekisui House showroom at the Nishinomiya Kitaguchi Housing Gallery.
This collaboration began in 2022, with both companies hoping that the time spent building a home will become a fun memory for children and give them an opportunity to think about the nature and lifestyles around them.
We are opening the second collaboration room, which features a fun art wall mechanism where you can freely attach magnetic parts.

Familiar Room
A collaboration room featuring an art wall where visitors can freely attach magnetic parts to express the seasons.
We aimed to create a space that would allow children to feel the four seasons through play and foster the cultural skills that will enrich their lives.
We offer magnetic pieces of plants and animals for each season. You can paste them on the art wall to create various landscapes.

Past efforts
Event "Let's make a bird call"
Some Sekisui House branches are hosting workshops where participants can create "bird calls" that make sounds similar to bird calls using natural wood and Familiar's archive fabrics.
Not only will you be able to feel the texture and scent of wood and learn about its names and differences, but you will also be able to experience the joy of upcycling and making things by using fabrics that were used in Familia's clothing.
Collaboration limited edition bag and workshop kit
The collaboration item "Mirai Bag" and the workshop kit "Help Apron" are special benefits for Sekisui House contracts in the Kansai area and were created with the desire to make the time spent building your home enjoyable.
The Mirai Bag is an art piece depicting a completed house with Kuma living happily in it. It uses archive fabric for the appliqué, and you can choose your favorite from five different patterns.
The "Help Apron" is a workshop kit that allows you to create your own original design apron using the included iron-on parts. It's an item that children can enjoy during meetings and other occasions.

familiar Room (Izu Minoh Exhibition Hall)
This is the first collaboration room to feature an art wall where visitors can freely attach magnetic parts to express the seasons.
If you go through a hole in the tree and into the depths of the art wall, you will find a small hideout like a secret base. It is a space where you can enjoy reading picture books at your leisure or playing pretend games.
