In 2024, activities were carried out under the themes of "COLOR PLAY," "BRIGHT COLOR," "FUN COLOR," and "NATURE COLOR."
Activities in 2024
COLOR PLAY
- Decorate your everyday life with art -
People, animals, and plants are all fellow inhabitants of the Earth. Express your message freely by creating art on the school walls!
[PLAY] Picnic Day
Learn about the lives of animals
We went to the zoo in the early summer sunshine of May and observed many animals.
The children had fun exploring the zoo, finding animals they had learned about in picture books and cards, and observing how their favorite animals lived.
It was a day that reminded me of the importance of cherishing the Earth on which we all live.
[LOVE ECO] Earth Project
Let's grow greenery What we can do to coexist with animals
Every April on Earth Day, we all think about what we can do for the Earth.
For Mother's Day in 2024, we created message cards using seed paper to encourage the growth of greenery so that animals and humans can coexist.
After making paper from recycled paper containers and gently placing marigold seeds inside, we created a lovely message card to give to a loved one.
[STYLE] A dyeing experience where you can grow indigo and think about how to cherish things
The new school year has begun and we have planted indigo seeds.
In 2024, we will be taking on the challenge of growing and dyeing indigo.
I wondered, "What is indigo?" and first tried tie-dyeing using indigo concentrate.
I was surprised by the smell of the fermented liquid!
We also used the indigo leaves we grew to tap-dye leftover fabric from Familia and upcycled it into placemats.
The blue and green colors of the indigo are transferred to the fabric, creating beautiful natural patterns.
[EAT] Treat yourself to an artist!
We were treated to snacks inspired by the works of Keith Haring, the theme artist for April, May, and June.
Chat with friends while reminiscing about the artworks they created in the art curriculum.
It was art that Keith wanted many people to enjoy, and it made for a fun snack time.
Bright Color
- Express your inner thoughts colorfully -
Get to know yourself through color and discover the joy of vibrant expression!
[PLAY] Tanabata decorations
Vibrant and vibrant Mexican colors
We created colorful Tanabata decorations in keeping with Mexico, the national theme for July, August, and September.
Using scissors, the children worked hard to create beautiful Tanabata decorations inspired by traditional motifs such as Mexican paper cutting art, papel picado, and piñatas!
[LOVE ECO] festival de música
Make and play musical instruments from recycled materials
In August, we held the Mexican music festival "Festival de Musica" and everyone enjoyed the music.
They made guitars and percussion instruments out of empty boxes and containers, performed them, and had a great time experiencing Mexican culture!
We all had a wonderful hot summer.
