Additional bed charges
Covers the cost of using a private room to ensure privacy .<br>Provides peace of mind when children are hospitalized, as they often require an attendant.
Any difference in bed charges, such as private room fees, which are to be paid in full by the patient, will be reimbursed at actual cost up to a maximum of 30,000 yen x number of days of hospitalization.
It's especially nice to be able to choose a private room where your baby can spend time without worrying, especially during the infant and toddler years when they tend to cry and fuss at night.

Expenses for hiring a babysitter or home helper
We provide support at home while your child is hospitalized, reducing the burden on your family.Hospital life means less time available for housework and childcare.
We will reimburse the actual cost of hiring convenient babysitters, pet sitters, cleaning service providers, etc., up to a maximum of 15,000 yen x number of days hired or provided.
We also cover the costs of hiring caregivers and providing welfare services for people with disabilities.

Self-payment amount for insurance-covered medical treatment
Your out-of-pocket medical expenses covered by public health insurance for hospitalization will be "0 (zero)". <br>We will pay the 30% out-of-pocket medical expenses covered by public health insurance for hospitalization, regardless of whether you receive benefits from the High-Cost Medical Care System or the Child Medical Expense Subsidy System (up to 1.2 million yen per hospitalization).

Transportation expenses
We will compensate for specified transportation expenses. <br>We will compensate for the actual transportation expenses incurred when admitted to, discharged from, or transferred to another hospital.
We cover not only public transportation and taxi fares, but also Shinkansen and airplane fares, so you can rest assured even if the hospital where you can receive good treatment is far away.We also pay transportation costs for accompanying small children.

The hospitalization treatment expense insurance plan recommended by Familia covers the self-paid amount for insured medical treatment and the standard co-payment amount for dietary treatment, regardless of whether you are covered by the Child Medical Expense Subsidy System or the High-Cost Medical Care System. Additionally, the hospitalization expense insurance covers the difference in bed charges, miscellaneous expenses, family attendant expenses, and transportation costs for admission and discharge from the hospital and for accompanying family members.
In this example, the insurance payout, including the cost of obtaining a medical certificate, will be 402,570 yen .

If you have signed up for a daily compensation plan , and the hospitalization medical insurance benefit (daily rate) is 10,000 yen, you will be paid 100,000 yen for a 10-day hospitalization.
In this example, the insurance payout, including the cost of obtaining a medical certificate, will be 105,500 yen .

The actual out-of-pocket cost paid at the medical institution's counter was 178,230 yen, so it can be seen that this would have been covered by medical insurance that covers actual expenses.

    Participate in an individual consultation session and receive an original ballpoint pen, and sign a contract and receive an original pouch.

    You can easily consult with Familia staff from the comfort of your own home, anywhere in the country.
    When you sign a contract, you will receive an original pouch as a gift.

  3. Online application
    You can apply using your smartphone or tablet at any time, 24 hours a day.
