Banshuori, a local industry in Nishiwaki City with a history of over 200 years, is a pre-dyed fabric in which the yarn is dyed before the fabric is woven. This technique allows for a variety of patterns to be woven, resulting in a more vibrant fabric with a pleasant texture.

What is Banshuori?
The "Familiar Check" fabric has been a beloved Familiar staple since its creation in the late 1950s.
It is made in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, the birthplace of pre-dyed fabrics and Banshu weaving, and is processed in all stages from yarn dyeing, warping, weaving, and finishing.
Instead of using the air looms that are now commonplace, we use traditional rapier looms and shuttle weaving machines to precisely reproduce the colors and textures that Familia has cultivated over a long period of time.
